Guys,
I'm also trying to find some usual places we could stay for a few nights - tree houses, lighthouses etc. Does anyone have experience of such things?! I have found some website called cool stays, however, I'm not sure if that's especially decent or not!
Looking for places within a few hours of London really, ideally coastal but not a deal breaker.
Any help much appreciated!

Lots of places like that.Really need a budget to make suggestions. The more unusual the more it costs though personally, although a best budget person, there are some I think would be worth it.There's some fabulous places on the south East coast. But knowing if you're willing to spend a Kings Ransom for the experience or want a low key place it's hard to say.Your comment of 'a few nights' doesn't sound like a standard week so that might narrow it down a bit. Landmark Trust suggested above does 3-4 day stays out of prime holiday time. So looking out of peak periods will help.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

If staying at or near a lighthouse, check it's foghorn isn't still working. I've heard of some poor holidaymakers staying in old Coastguard Cottages when the foghorn was going all night for several nights in a row.

Thanks for the responses, in terms of budget, it's flexible depending on how good it is really!
I need to revisit the sites above and see what I can find.
