Problems finding an ethical pension

What fund options do you have in your employer's scheme?
Have you asked the provider if you can leave contributions inside their pension wrapper as uninvested cash?
Have you asked the provider if you can do partial transfers out to your own SIPP, say once or twice a year?
Opting out and foregoing the employer's contribution will be detrimental to your future self and avoided if at all possible. The answers to these questions may help to establish whether a route to "staying in" can be found.1 -
^^^ This. There must be a cash fund option, even if the return is zero or slightly negative due to the fund / platform charges.AlanP_2 said:What fund options do you have in your employer's scheme?

But if it's in a cash fund, can't that cash then get lent out on the money markets, including to industries that the OP would have an issue with?Croeso69 said:

Or is there a point where the whole thing is sufficiently arms-length to be palatable...?2
