Morning, Hugs if you need one, especially NannyW and husband. So sorry the news was not better. Gers sorry to hear the increased medication is not totally dealing with the problem, hope something can be done about it.
So I have started putting the top border on the quilt, it needed an extra 4 strips on, I miss calculated...... so bits cut and sewn on, hope to get both borders on. Will not be sewing tomorrow, I have a trip into town to collect an order from Aldi and DB needs to go into Tool Station and collect some wood stain. By the time we get back and the groceries are put away I will be fit for nothing.
Its cold and damp here, I see the forecast is for more bad weather at the end of the month.........hope its not heaps of snow again.
Car was collected yesterday the tyre was split, lucky it did not blow.....so a new tyre and a largish bill.....I need to rework the amount we pat into our household bill account. The car is 12 years old, but still goes like a bomb, the chap at the garage told me not to buy a new one, the Skoda will see me out...... well at least until I give up driving which I hope will be a few years yet.
Lazy supper tonight, I have taken two frozen meals out........trifle finished, DB will have the small cheese cake thats left in the fridge. I might have an orange.

Good afternoon everyone

Oh Nanny, sending you and your beloved a huge cwtch, sorry the news wasn't good xx
I am trying to distract myself today as my lovely sister gets her results today at 4.20pm and we are all desperately hoping that the cancer hasn't spread. There will be a lot of nervous energy going into my knitting today.
I am cooking today so we are having enchiladas for dinner with tortilla chips on the side. Steve is making sausage sandwiches for lunch once I winkle him off YouTube. Phoebe is still in bed and Lee has appeared for breakfast and then vanished into his room for the day so it is very quiet here.
Hope you all have a good day whatever may happen, take care xx13 -
Hi all
Some really sad news from my friends on here today I wish you all the very best especially nan, marie and gers mum, puts it all into perspective I guess
Nothing to report from me of any significance Ill be watching the chancellor this afternoon in the vain hope that he chucks a few crumbs my way but to be honest I doubt it. Im in a group of 3 million others called the excluded as all our businesses missed out on the generous support he gave to most others in the country keep your fingers crossed
Beef was lovely last night and of course there is tons of leftovers so Ill have that again tonight then freeze the rest
Big hug to all13 -
Afternoon everyone
Little one is till napping - it took her a while to settle - probably because our youngest cat had joined her in her cot - lots of giggles! I took her down to visit my mam and dad this morning - she had a lovely play and sat on great grandads knee to draw some pictures. DD had her vaccination yesterday and didn't feel well afterwards - headache, hot and cold and shivery. Worse this morning so she phoned 111 - she was given an anti sickness injection and told it must be a reaction. Luckily little one was with me all day anyways.
Eldest DD in Sweden had all her belongings picked up by a storage company ....they will be stored then taken to Germany once she finds an apartment. All she has now a 2 suitcases full of the stuff she needs for the next month.
Well I have a couple of things to do before the shouts of 'granny me here.' Take care everyone and best wishes to those of you who have had bad news.13 -
Ruby - thanks for the update from Marie, please pass on my thoughts to her.Nan - so sorry to read the news about your OH. I really hope that there is some treatment to help.Dumpling - I'm also hoping for better news from your sister. My DM is having an OK day, her heart rate was only elevated this morning. I'm back from the CT scan, it only takes about 10 seconds. The report will go directly to my dental surgeon. I stopped off for a sneaky wee coffee on the way back. There's a few more papers to scan, I like to keep receipts in the laptop so I can find them easily. Same with stuff from banks and building societys, had enough wading through piles of papers to find something when needed. It's very chilly out, I certainly needed my scarf today.12

Nanny, I'm sorry to hear your news. We're in the same boat here, waiting for bi-monthly results and then treatment. Most of the time Steve seems very well and I am fairly relaxed, this time he doesn't seem as good so I'm waiting for the consultant's call tomorrow with bated breath. Apparently if it comes back within two years of treatment the prognosis isn't good and it won't be two years until June. Oh well, fingers crossed.
Gers, I hope your DM is continuing to be a bit better.
I must go and make a cake for Crystal's birthday tomorrow, I make her a cherry cake with mountains of frosting, I find it too sickly but she adores it.11 -
Nanny, that's just poo.....Hugs.
