Fascia, soffit and guttecleaning - off a ladder

What's the quickest way to clean uPVC fascia and soffits and aluminium gutters without a pressure washer? It's covered in green algae and hasn't been done for years.
I was thinking of using Screwfix No Nonsense Degreaser.
It's a 4 bed detached and I can't spend all day doing them.
Thanks in advance.

I don't see any grease here. Bleach the plastic. Not sure about alluminium0

I’d just use warm water with added Flash cleaner and a brush. Would have thought the algae would come of easily.0

Pay someone else 😂1

Buy a small pressure sprayer and some wet, n, forget or patio magic0

To be fair a bit of warm water and some washing up liquid would likely do the job. For £50 you can probably get someone with a pole set to come round and sort it.

Take great care if considering using a pressure washer up a ladder...Employ someone who does this sort of thing day in day out.0

Take care letting anyone using a pressure washer on the joints of any gutter or down spouts . If you have a window cleaner they will do it , soapy water if alli or plastic in decent condition . Clean out gutters first then clean down

Get an idiot like this to do it.

TBH this kind of thing is part and parcel of routine house maintenance. Easy to do yourself (assuming you're ok with a ladder), or else there are plenty of people around who will offer just such a service. But there's definitely no need for a pressure washer, and I have an aversion to pressure washers being used anywhere near a roof anyway.Carnmore said:I was thinking of using Screwfix No Nonsense Degreaser. No, just warm water & washing up liquid. Most of it will come off with a cloth, a nylon scouring pad will deal with any particularly stubborn bits.I can't spend all day doing them. Well, this is MSE, why can't you spend half a day one weekend doing it? It'll cost you about 5p worth of warm water and washing up liquid. But if you don't want to do that, many window cleaners will do gutters etc. for you. See if there's a local window cleaner who can help.
