Scottish power has registered my meter wrong and won't fix it!
Dear Money saving forumites,
I know this is an issue some of you had before but could not find a solution.
I've been forcibly moved to scottish power after Tonik closed and I've been counting the minutes to when I could change energy firm. When I tried to swap I discovered that they had registered my meter to the wrong address.
3 months and about 8 or 9 emails/chats with the customer service, the mistake has not been rectified yet. Each time they promised the request has been put in but nothing changes.
I'm not sure what to so anymore! Is this just a tactic to convince me to cave in a stay with scottish power?

Is there an authority I can escalate the issue to?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Try phoning your regional distributor (assuming you mean electricity), they maintain the database. They might be able to escalate matters.

Forward all your emails to the CEO, your complaint will then get dealt with by a more senior complaints handler, who does have slightly more common sense. Provide them photos of your meter too.
I'm still waiting for them to register my correct meter number after finally getting them to recognise there's more than one flat in my block and the meter in my flat supplies my flat.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
