Via credit card - but they cannot recall the funds until after the intended departure date otherwise it could look like we have cancelled the holiday
I wouldn't worry then - you'll be able to claim a refund through them if the agent doesn't play ball

Only if there's a demonstrable breach of contract - there may well be by then but I don't think it can be simply stated as fact at this stage....

The flight is still going, but my booking has disappeared so I have contacted Qatar Airlines and I wait to hear from them. However I have now found out from the hotel that the agent has cancelled my booking with them - does this constitute my holiday being cancelled if the agent has cancelled part of my trip?
    Thanks
Seems they  have treated you saying you cannot travel as a cancellation, since the flights and accommodation are available.

Rather than jump the gun. Allow the companies concerned to follow due process. The real world moves a lot slower than people have the patience for.
  • Hi all
I’m being told by my travel agent that I won’t get a full refund for my holiday as we have a frustrated contract. They are saying that as the English border is open, I’m not entitled to a full refund and want to charge me extortionate cancellation costs. I am of the view that seeing as it’s illegal to travel for non essential travel, I should receive a full refund - has anyone else been told this?
    thanks
    kelly
I'd love to know how this resolved for you as I'm currently in the same position with this company. The lack of clarity around "supplier's fees" and the huge amount of money this comes to is concerning, and seems to push the limits of a frustrated contract as far as they can.
