    Sorry to disappoint you all but this number 01823 445566 is actually the telephone number for Milsted Langdon Chartered Accountants and nothing to do with AMEX at all.

    This is apparently incorrect, but SayNoTo0870 also lists a Freephone no. 0800 0854220 which could be worth trying.
