Or you might prefer to continue with a meter operating dumbly, in that you can read it even if they can't.I’ve managed to obtain a reading today meter is still working from my end. The problem with meter location is it’s down a narrow path which is overgrown with shrubbery and when wet the path is lethal! Where the meter is, is often a mud bath of mud. I’ve been getting on at the landlord for 7 years to cut back shrubs and clean the path but their gardeners can only trim back the shrubs once every 4 months!
For 10 years as regular as clockwork a meter reader would read twice a year which was reassuring so I could get accurate bills.
Having previously worked for EON (a long time ago) I’m pretty on the ball over checking meter readings etc. which is why I realised there was an issue with their accurate read earlier this year as I knew I owed more than they claimed!0
