Dog Fouling

Anyone got suggestions on what l can do to stop someone letting there dog foul outside my gate and driveway , it is happening nearly every day and l can never find who it is as it happens either early morning or when it’s dark. I know it’s the same person as l can tell by the dog mess.
Can the council help in anyway to stop/find the culprit, could l put anything on the pavement along the boundary to stop the dog from stopping here .

I was thinking of a witless cctv camera but l think there’s only do recording on motion, correct me if l’m wrong .. So what cctv could do what l need so l could playback recordings (cheap as possible).
Any other suggestions would be helpful, we have grandchildren who come regularly and the path outside is a main route to a primary school and park .😡😡😡

You can report it to the council, according to this link : https://www.gov.uk/report-dog-fouling
They have a duty to keep public areas, including pavements, free of dog poo.
I also dug up this old thread : https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/381792/how-to-deter-dogs-from-going-to-loo-outside-my-house
It has some suggestions. But I think if you hassle your council in the first instance, they will be able to help, or at least do something like cleaning it up. They'll soon get fed up of cleaning it and may even put a notice up? Could you hang some poo bags near your gate?
Some people really are disgusting, I'm sorry this is happening. The owner could be fined for letting their dog foul on the pavement, if only they could be caught! Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. If you manage to find a way of stopping it let us know please.
We have a strip of grass on the front of our house which belongs to us and runs alongside the footpath and our garden wall that someone lets their dog go to the toilet on. It is the same person and dog each time, you can tell by the poo. Almost every day I pick poo off that piece of grass.
Some people are just disgusting. If I find out who it is I will be posting it back through their letter box.1 -

Our councilor had a stencil which he sprayed a no fouling sign on the path outside of my gate, (couple of people down my street thought it was ok to let their dog use my gate as a toilet 3/4 times a day). Or you can ask them to contact the council for you to report the problem, they sometimes have a bit more weight when reporting problems.
Ask your local council if they can come and signpost the street, they put stickers and signs on lampposts. Local parish council offices sometimes help, I know of a few that used to help with fouling.
Failing that, what about going on fleabay and buying a CCTV and / or a dog fouling sign to put up, might act as a deterrent, they are not to know if you actually have CCTV.
I agree with posting it back, my husband asked our neighbor if he thought it was ok for him to pee on his car, seeing as we had to walk through his dog pee to get into our house!MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538 01.03.25 £147941 -
My friend had this problerm. Her daughter gave her a sign for the frint garden. It was in the shape of a rabbit holding a placard that said' this is my dinner . Please do not poo on it'. It worked.
Or you could be less subtle
