Octopus smart meter?

Hi,

Has anyone got the KAIFA MA120 smart meter (with WNC attached) and solar? I'm trying to sort my father out. I have an Octopus smart meter but a different one, and my IHD shows energy flowing back to the grid, but his doesn't! Octopus keep saying it's because he doesn't have the export tariff, but I don't and mine works. Just wondering if it was the meter causing the issue?

I have a Kaifa M120 and it has shown both imported and exported energy from the day that it was installed. As far as I know, all SMET2 electricity meters work in the same way. An export MPAN is needed for Octopus to get the export data and pay SEGs (if applicable). 

As far as the IHDs are concerned, I suspect that you have an IHD3 and a mast appears when energy is exported. The IHD6 which I now have does not display information in the same way. Sadly, my IHD6 disconnected itself from the HAN yesterday, so I cannot access the relevant screen. You need to go to Settings then Home Screen. You might have to press the home screen icon to display kWs.

We both have IHD6's but different meters mine shows export his doesn't! He has the same meter as you but no mast! Neither of us have our export with Octopus! Strange!!
