Fairmead / L&G

Hi,
I have been paying for sickness and redundancy cover for my endowment mortgage since 1997. I have just contacted them to send through my policy documents as my DD has some life changing issues and I wondered if I was covered. L&G can’t find any policy related to me, if they can’t find anything am I entitled to a refund of the payments made ( this would help if I can’t claim on the insurance) or am I being a bit optimistic.

Thanks.

If they can't find anything relating to you , they won't find any payments to refund.

Submit a SAR to see what they can turn up.

Thank you, I have realised they might still have my maiden name so I have asked for details under that name, if that is also fruitless I will send an SAR. There has to be something on me, they take the DD every month!

edit in 1st post  DD was daughter, in this post direct debit :/

L&G is a company that operates different divisions.  Each will only be able to find records in its own area.   L&G do motor and household insurance as well as ASU, life assurance, CIC, PHI.pensions plus many others.
The life assurance arm wont know what the home insurance arm has on you.  So, they wont refund like that.

I went through the fairmead website which had a form to send the query to, the response is from an L&G email address. Hopefully it will be found now I have given them my maiden name.

L&G have been splitting their business book up.  Fairmead is the name used by Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society (LV) for the portion of the book they have bought from L&G.
