Hi! I posted on here a year or so ago about a similar thing -
I'm looking at renting a different flat as this area is so unsafe, I'm renting through someone called Leaders and they are using The Lettings Hub to do their application and checks process. Income and Credit Check, References (Landlord and Workplace) and the features are
  • "Authenticate Check - check the applicant is who they say they are
  • Unlimited Addresses Checked
  • Detrimental Data Check
  • Tenant Risk Score
  • Bank Sort Code Validation
  • Fraud Check
  • Affordability Check
  • Full Employment Reference
  • Previous Landlord or Managing Agent Reference
  • Tenant Monitor"
What would be classed as Detrimental Data and what is bank sort code validation and tenant monitor? Does anybody know? :)
Also, is it possible for them to see like credit agreements with anybody, credit cards, etc?

They are the same as any other letting reference check, ie they can only see public data, CCJs, Bankruptcy, IVA, etc.  They cannot see account details, missed payments, etc. (Unless you volunteer it).
Google bank account checker, there are numerous online checkers which will validate bank account and sort code.
Tenant monitor, who knows? Maybe look up your social media profiles, but it can still only be stuff in public domain.
  • From their website:
Our unique product Tenant Monitor, included as standard, allows us to check your tenant's credit record throughout the term of the tenancy. This means that if a tenant's circumstances do change, you'll be the first to know; allowing you to make informed choices about their long-term suitability.
