Refund after discount at Argos

Hi all, I'm hoping you can offer some advice. We have recently purchased two bedroom furniture sets from Argos. When I was assembling the item there was damage to a couple of parts and the door hinges missing from one of the wardrobes. I called to return them and they said they could send out replacements and offer a £145 discount. I initially diclined and stuck with the refund (as the goods are terrible quality) but after speaking to my partner we decided to agree to the discount, mainly for an easier life. I called again and the sales rep advised to open all boxes and check for damage as once the parts are ordered and discount applied there is no come back on argos, he was also unable to cancel the collection and advised we would have to do this with the driver on the day. The following day I called with all required parts and they applied the discount. A few days after I received one correct part but the hinges they sent were actually door knobs for an unrelated set. I called argos and they said they would reorder them. After this we received an email from argos's supplier saying that could not fulfil the order and were unlikely to be able to anytime soon. I contacted argos again, who said they would send out another set, we take the hinges and then they take the set away, but it had to be authorised by a different team. I've called again today and this has been rejected by their head office and they are taking no further action as we accepted the discount. I was wondering what I should do next? Did I waive my consumer rights when I took the discount, even tho they haven't fulfilled their end of the deal? Thanks for any help you can give.

What is it you want to achieve, is it return everything and get a refund or is it for them to send the hinges. If the latter what sort of hinges are they  - unique or bog standard hinges, you'll easily be able to get standard hinges for a few pounds from a hardware supplier.

If they haven't supplied what they promised then the deal is off and you can return for a refund.

After chasing these parts for so long we just want a refund. It's a pain, as we're expecting a new baby this week. My other half contacted them through twitter today, and we seem to be making progress but Ive thought that before! Thanks for you're help.
