My ex and I have a joint life insurance

Sadly he has passed recently, can I claim on our life insurance?

    The best people to ask will be the insurer. It may depend: I don't know. You say 'my ex', but is that ex-spouse? If yes, were you formally divorced?

  • If you were the named beneficiary on the policy and the premiums were up to date then the answer is yes..

    Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

    Thankyou, I has read all that we took out life insurance 40 years ago and just kept paying the premiums, sadly he passed last week also with a pension both under pension age so need to deal with that too we both owned the house x
