Hi everyone,
Well, I managed to get a vaccine yesterday as Steve's carer, it was the AZ one and I have no pain but I woke at 5.30 with a high temperature. It's gone now and I feel ok, just a bit tired from my disturbed sleep. I'm so glad I had it and the centre was quite quiet, I didn't have to wait because Steve had chauffered me so I was in and out in 6 minutes.
I cleaned the bathrooms and we had fish and chips for dinner, decided on in case I wasn't well enough to cook. As it happened I would have been fine.
Gers, I'm sorry I missed your birthday so belated best wishes from me. It's Crystal's birthday this week and she's been going through a really hard time this week so I'll make her favourite cake and take it across with her present. Then from the 8th I'll be able to go across and meet her for a walk during the week which will be good.
I hope all the poorlies are as well as can be expected and those looking after loved ones take some time for yourself if you can, it's so hard isn't it.12 -
Afternoon everyone,
Just been having a catch-up. Little one stayed last night but didn't wake up until 7.30 so that was good - she'd slept from 6.30 last night! When I went up to bed last night, there was smallest cat all cuddled up in the cot next to her - very cosy! He must have been hiding under the bed when I put her down - he wasn't impressed when I lifted him out and shut the door.
DD got a puppy this week - she brought him with her when she picked little one up - she was so excited. Biscuit the biggest cat just looked and ran and hid - the puppy is half the size of him and cat is usually quite fierce - I think he's ashamed of himself now!
We had a walk this morning though not quite as nice as usual. Little one had a spectacular tantrum and lay down in the corn field! I just waited till she'd finished and said come on then.... DD is trying to just let her have her dummy in bed and she wasn't happy to discover it wasn't in my coat pocket. At least we weren't in a supermarket.
Right I'm going to get my washing in off the line and iron it -- then I might give eldest DD a ring. She's enjoying her last weekend in Stockholm as she moves to Germany next Sunday.
Hope everyone has a pleasant day10 -
So, the new bed base arrived at 8.35am this morning, a good job we got up early, I had moved everything bar the old base. M arrived and moved the old base into the front garden. I had arranged for B to come and take it round to the storage. As it happened the chap who has the wood burners arrived so everything including all the packing cardboard was shoved into an estate car and disappeared. It took us a couple of hours with a coffee break to assemble the bed. We had just finished when my cleaner arrived to help me remake the bed.....DB has had his siesta in it. You will have to wait for the morning for my comments.
I am shattered, supper is all day breakfast and I think we will have cake for dessert, we were given a chocolate cake to celebrate our wedding anniversary tomorrow.
I have almost finished the border for the quilt, hope to do the last one tomorrow and sew them on.Supper is all day breakfast.

Just popping back to thank you for your well wishes. I really try not to complain about looking after my DF "in real life" - I realise I am lucky to be able to care for him and try to be grateful for this time together that we wouldn't have otherwise had.
So I come on here for my vent and then I can carry on! lol
Nan - thank you for your very kind offer - I can see I am in good company and the offer of a pm goes both ways.
