I just thought I'd report back. I ended up with an Acova column rad from Screwfix as all the reviews seemed good, and I bought valves separately as I wanted corner entry ones. (These I got from my friendly local plumbing merchants.) So far, so good. It heats up quickly and evenly, no issues at all.
I'll definitely use them for the next room.0
