Feature TV Wall, Ye or Nae?

I'm curious to know what other people think of these feature TV walls with hidden cables and sometimes an electric fire underneath.
I think they look neat but equally you're stuck with that layout and if you decide you want a bigger or smaller tv at some stage, you're left with another problem...
Thoughts?

I would never have a TV above a fire (fake or otherwise).3

I'd have a fake tv above a real fire. Its yay or nay.If you don't want the tv on that wall at a later date the sockets could be covered with a picture.0

Sorry I really don’t get the tv high on a wall I would get a crick in my neck. I like it at eye level for whe I am slumped on the sofa.

Most wall mounted TVs are on a bracket so changing to larger or smaller TV at a later date shouldn't be a problem as the bracket normally has multiple mounting holes to fit most TVs1

I don't like itGenerally you want your eyes level between the middle and the top of the screen. Having it high is the last resort of someone desperate to fit a large screen in somewhere.1

I like itWe have a feature wall painted black, but no fire. Fake wall so the TV is flush, cables all hidden.
Tbf we bought it like this. And if we had the money, I'd do it again, but move the TV lower. It's like having a cinema in the house.

I think it says quite a bit about people how they have their TV!
I prefer a wall of books to be the main feature in our living room, although we do have a decent size TV and the husband has a projector in his man cave.1 -
I don't like itWe have a projector which sits on a shelf of the coffee table, huge pin sharp picture, but you do have to have a white wall.0

I don't like itFor practicality - it's at the wrong height to watch tv. It's also above a fire, which is a bad idea.
For aesthetics, it's a golden rule of dressing a property for sale that the tv should not be what you see as you walk into a room. So if the fireplace faces the entry door, the tv should not be on that wall. Obviously this won't matter to you if you have no selling plans0
