Travel Insurance

Options
We have booked a holiday for September 2022 to America and whilst we have annual travel insurance currently (which will be renewed next month) it will likely be just to cover Europe. Do we need to have travel insurance at the stage for a holiday which is 18 months away?

You don't need to have insurance at all, but prior to the trip all it would cover you for is cancellation - so depends whether you're happy to take the risk (and also to what extent anybody is offering insurance this far in advance). Obviously by the time you actually travel you'll want cover for medical care etc.
