Martin Lewis in £100 hike in energy bills. What about Bulb?

Im currently with Bulb which is a veri fair tariff. I realise that a lot of energy companies have announced a massive price hike but im not sure how this effects the type of tariff that Bulb offers? Do I try and jump ship now? Bulb is still the 4th cheapest when I do a comparison with the cheapest only being £2 a month.

None of them are compelled to put up their prices, just because OFGEM has raise the cap and not all will and not all will raise all of their tariffs. The cap is only effective on the the Standard Variable or Evergreen tariffs so suppliers can do what they like with the rest.

In the end you can either wait it out or jump ship to a fixed tariff, either with Bulb or someone else

  • If they do increase prices which is likely, they have to give you 30 days notice, so will have time then to work out what’s best for you
