Combi Boiler temp settings

I have a combi boiler and it only has one control dial for the radiators? Is that Normal? If so how do I set the water temperature as I read that the hot water temperature should be set to 60C ?

The only dial that’s on the boiler is for setting the radiator temperature,
The other side is blocked off without a dial or markings.

The reason I am asking is because my hot water runs hot then cold when running a bath so I can never get a hot bath :(

    What boiler is it?
Some older models were like this and you can’t adjust. Sounds to me like you have an issue with your plate heat ex...what you describe is a common symptom of it being blocked.

    it’s a Worcester boiler.
Sometimes it comes out hot then cold then hot then cold then lukewarm so basically you don’t even need to run the cold tap as the whole bath would be lukewarm already.

Does that mean the dial the controls the radiator also controls the hot water ? This is because the radiator dial on the boiler is set to around 4 and not max. Would that be the cause?

What sort of Worcester boiler - the model number would be more helpful than just the maker's name. much like saying you drive a Ford, not enough info.

It’s likely to be a 24i or similar.
No, the hot water won’t be controlled by that. That would be for the temperate of the water in your heating circuit.
The hot water would be controlled by an NTC/Thermistor.
If it is this model it doesn’t have a separate heat exchanger and uses the main heat ex and a flow switch to activate.

You are right, it’s Greenstar 28i Junior Combi MK IV condensing boiler.
Also it’s currently in Eco mode if that contributes to the problem.

Hot water needing to be at a certain temperature is to stop nasty bacteria growing in the hot water tank - as you don't have a hot water tank you don't need to worry about this.  Just about getting comfortable baths.
