I'll be watching with interest. Having a badger set nearby and run as part of my garden I've yet to have any problem but I'm told by neighbours it's the teenagers that want to explore and cause problem.
I'm sure my time will come  :)

Like most teenagers, though, they are easily distracted by a bowl of peanuts!

The irony is that despite having the run as part of my garden I've never seen or heard a badger.
Twice while standing outside the community hall (just a small field away) in the evening I've had a badger race round the corner and skid to a halt in surprise - then run the other way.
I've always wanted to watch a set when the new youngsters emerge and missed my chances. I was tickled by the thought I could watch from my house in comfort.
Keeping in mind the peanuts in case they find my bulbs ;)

2p, if you want to watch them in your garden, set up a motion-sensor light and scatter some peanuts.  They will very quickly get used to the light coming on and will develop a regular feeding-time at the peanuts.  Of course, their ideal feeding time, may not be ideal for your sleep routine!

Happily one of the better built parts of this place is the netting and fencing of the garden that is their run. I'm using it to grow some fruit and stuff. My little hideaway.
But the set is nearby. They just haven't used it for some time due to the Tennis club around it that is now floodlit and busy. If the weather improves I may try and arrange to go with someone. Retirement will mean I don't have to worry about normal hours.
It might also remind me to book a boat trip to see nesting birds that I've meant to do for decades and only remember when it's too late! That's if Boris allows me to travel the 15 miles. Wonder if that limit applies to boats and going coastal?

Row there and you could argue that it is within the rules on exercise! :)

Sadly, last Thursday there was a badger killed by a car near my home. It was quite possibly the one that was wrecking my gate because we've had no issues since. Although I wanted it to stop I didn't want the badger to come to any harm. Local kids made a poster with RIP Mr Badger and put it on the fence nearby.

That;s a shame but what a lovely thing for the kids to do. Maybe the first thing for them and starts them on a road to conservation and careful driving.
