    @Gerry1, sounds like good advice although with everything off, that means no hot water and no heating, no oven either.  We don't have gas.

    Last thing at night until first thing in the morning?  It doesn't have to be a long time, but the longer it is the more chance of finding any problem.

    @Splatten You have bills of over £200 and you complain of a little inconvenience  in trying to identify the cause !

    No pain, no gain.  Surely the last person to bed can turn the mains off and the first one to rise can turn it on again?
    It's not like a week long power cut !

    Does the ASHP system have an immersion heater or other booster?
    Also first sanity check - does the reading on your meter match the smart readings given?
