How long did you wait for your structural survey report (Level 3)?

Its been 5 working days since the survey took place. I'm keen to get hold of it (at £1000 it's not cheap for a small house). I asked on Monday how long it would take and I was told it would be with me soon.
How long should it take?

  • We had a more basic Homebuyer's done on the 2nd September. It took 3 weeks for us to get it, despite me calling after 1 week, 1.5 weeks, 2 weeks, etc to ask where it was. It got really awkward. He started answering the phone "Ah, oniongirl, I expect you're ringing to find out where your survey is...."

It "just" needed photos adding for 2 weeks.
  • I had a full structural on a 3 bed bungalow, he emailed it to me four days later.  I had to print it out, he didn't post a hard copy.

I assume they called you in the day of the survey to talk through the results so it's just the actual paperwork your are waiting for?
Ours took four days to produce. I would be cross if it was longer than a week or so

I waited 2 weeks and had to chase it. Absolutely no hint or info about the survey before I recieved the report.
  • Received today - not good news either!
  • We waited two weeks.
