@LadyWithAPlan the PB win was with a 43k holding that I have had in the draw since May, I've had £325 in winnings in total. Two of this months wins were from individual reinvested bonds. We've actually done pretty well from insuring the pets - Puss had an in-growing bowel at five or six months old - tests and an operation came to £1,800 - the insurers weren't going to pay because when she was at the Blue Cross, her whole litter were treated for diarrhea, because they couldn't tell which one was poorly. Insurers claimed bowel problems were a pre-existing condition and therefore excluded. Our brilliant vet argued with them and they paid up in full. Big dog was an absolute numpty for the first two years of his life! he's been treated for scratched cornea numerous times from running through brambles, various cut paws for the same reason, and worst a Friday night dash to the emergency vet for barbed wire puncture wounds and a piece of wood that came close to puncturing his bladder. I never saw the complete bill for that one, but the deposit alone was £900.I would say that small pup is more sensible, but yesterday he emerged from a thicket with blood on his tongue because he was charging around with it hanging out!

Your dogs sound fairly mad but fun..
Good 0.75% return on those PB in under 6 months
I live in hope on mine! They only been in for a full 2 months.. So hoping month 3 shows some return. Could put more in but. Liking some guaranteed interest plus got some S&S isa so that always a decent roller-coaster for returns

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Fingers crossed you break your duck in December2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8563 -

Made extra deposits to my SIPP and S&S Isa last night, (spare money because October's CC Bill was lower than expected - November's is higher, but within limits). Let's hope November's investment gains continue. And you do not want to know today's doggo horror - rat based2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8566

Spent yesterday putting the front garden to bed for the winter - I know too tidy isn't good for the insects, but there are plenty of hidey holes left, but it was getting difficult to get out of the car without being attacked (according to Mr C). Hours of shredding later, the four compost bins are full (very bog standard small suburban gardens, just a LOT of greeery). Next job is to go out to collect leaves - which fortunately for me, the local council stopped doing a few years ago.

Ooh, nice job to be preparing the garden for winter 😊 I made leaf mould last year but it's still sat in a bag, must make a new batch this year. Fortunately we have plenty of leaves round here, so a few bags won't even make a dent in what's scattered all over the lawn 😂3

Well, that was a successful morning of surveying - two surveys on Nectar canvass that were honest about how long they would take - 160 points towards my Sainsbos Christmas bonus points - only 200ish points from the thrid goal now. Then £3.50 cash in the bank for 25 mins from the TV Viewers Panel.
