Hen activity

I'm wondering if I can get any advise as I'm not sure where else to ask.
I booked a weekend away for a Hen Do that was due to take part last May.. obviously that didn't happen, so at the time we moved the date to the weekend of May 18th 2021.
As it stands the Hen Do can't actually legally go ahead because at that time we aren't allowed to share accommodation because there will be more than 6, and from different households.
The wedding as it stands has also now been cancelled so we are trying to cancel said activity, but obviously given them the reason that the Hen can't go ahead.
They're basically refusing to give anything back and the only option theyre giving is to change the date again. Is this right and therefore not worth us arguing anymore?

The accommodation is another matter, its through Hoseasons so will deal with that nearer the time.
It's more the activity we're worried about at the moment. They're point blank refusing any refund at all.0 -
What's the activity? Who is providing it?0

Whilst I sympathise, if the activity can go ahead, then from the business' point of view, why should they refund?Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard1

Depends on what the activity is and what the terms on booking were. If the said ‘activity’ can still go ahead with one or two people then no you probably wouldn’t be entitled to a refund. If the activity Centre is closed then different story but bottom line is, if you choose to cancel the booking because of numbers alone, you need to consider the offer to rebook for a future date.0

It's an outdoor group activity type thing. 5 or 6 different activities. I think its one we'll have have suck up.
It's frustrating because we can't go away and stay because of numbers and different households etc so will end up losing the £400 odd from the activity. It's not somewhere close enough to travel for the day.0 -

Accept the switch of date. While the wedding has been cancelled. Might as well enjoy the company of each other later in the year. Whatever happens. Everyone would no doubt welcome some fun in their lives.1

Pretty nice of them to offer to rearrange actually, they're losing out on income by doing this.Statement of Affairs (SOA) link: https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpFor free, non-judgemental debt advice, try: Stepchange or National Debtline.
