  • Ah I didn't think of that! Will check when I am next back! But even if it did.. how can one clock control on and off times of a boiler...?

You only have limited control with that clock timer.

The clock will only affect the timed settings. Slide the top slider to 'timed' and slide the bottom slider to one of  3 choices, CH only, both CH and HW and HW only from left to right.

You can't have different timed settings for HW and CH. You would need a more sophisticated timer for that.

However it will work just fine for most situations. Set it to control the CH at the times you want and use the manual control to heat the HW once a day. You will soon learn how long to leave the HW on.

Or just always have both CH and HW on as the HW temperature is controlled by the white sensor low down on the tank. Set that to between 55 and 65 degrees C.

There should be a room thermostat somewhere, usually in the hall, to control the house temperature.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".
  • Thanks guys. I had a closer look and can't for the life of me see how you actually set the on/off times, the bit under those switches on the panel doesn't seem to lift up, and that clock is behind plastic and can't seem to get to that either - there's a little knob to the right of it but it has 2 positions neither of which are marked!

Does turning it anticlockwise release the cover so you can open it and get at the clock?
    Hi,
the direction of the wee arrow is anti clockwise, which you have probably tried.
I would still go for a broad bladed implement and attack, either from the heating symbol or from the bottom.

  • Yes I will certainly look at getting a more modern timer unit fitted...!!

Make sure that the boiler and or the wiring from the timer to the boiler can use a more sophisticated timer as more wires may be required than are there already.

Can you post the model of Baxi boiler.

You could always send the picture to Sunvic and see if they can supply some instructions. Some companies are very helpful.
