I had a little overlap, completed on the 27th Jan, my rental period was up on the 3rd and I actually moved out/in on the 6th, my landlord very kindly let me have an extra couple of days. I found it very useful because I was able to come to the new place and check everything out, swap locks and give it a bloody good clean. I also hadn't been able to get the removal service booked for earlier than the 6th anyway so couldn't have done it any sooner, probably I could've found a different removals firm but I knew who I wanted to use. Yes there has been a small overlap with money but I've just written it off, I only need to be here a couple of months to make that money back in saving what I would've spent in the rental property and it's also worth every penny to be out of renting and into my own place0

Slithery said:What are the 'following Special Tenancy Provisions'?To give to the Landlord a minimum of one month's written notice of termination of the tenancy created by this agreement to expire on the last day of any tenancy period save that no such notice can be given, with an expiry date before the last day of the fixed term. That answers the question. Previously over text my landlord requested two months notice. Which I agreed to over text but this is a signed document. Can the landlord hold me to the 2 months notice thing?DIP 09/02/21

Which I agreed to over text but this is a signed document. Can the landlord hold me to the 2 months notice thing? No.
