Virgin Plus interactive - can it be recorded?

There's 3 rugby matches on at once, on Sky Sports 1, one's on the channel as normal, you can view the other 2 by pressing the red button and choosing which you want to watch. I want to record one of the ones that's on interactive but I can't set it to record because it'll automatically record the one that's in the listings. Will it record if I choose it at the start time then press record, or will it still just record what's in the listings?
Does that make sense?

I think you'll find that Virgin Media customers don't get the interactive service at all.
