Hi all nearly 2 weeks ago we got carpets fitted to our house and paid half upfront. I have called the carpet supplier 4 times left voicemails and I have a emailed them trying to pay the other half. Is there a certain time frame that they have to get in touch?

Yes - if you owe them money - they have up to 6 years to come and get it - but hopefully you'll resolve it before then. It may be that they are concentrating on the fitting of carpets and will catch up with their admin as soon as they are able. They might be a bit short staffed at the moment based on the pandemic that's going on. If all goes well and we are able to get ourselves out of various lockdowns over the coming weeks, you'll be able to go to the showroom direct and settle if that's easier when appropriate.0

I would also add from the way you've written your question you might have been hoping to have gotten half a free carpet if they didn't come back to you within a certain time-frame. So I would hope that's not what you were implyingadynick01 said:Hi all nearly 2 weeks ago we got carpets fitted to our house and paid half upfront. Honestly who doesn't like a freebie in life
However I genuinely owe the company money I was just wondering if I had any defence if they contact me months down the line and ask why I hadn't made contact. 0 -
But you have made contact. Voicemails and emails are evidence of such contact.adynick01 said:Honestly who doesn't like a freebie in life

This doesn't mean an end to it, as above, they have 6 years to rock up at your door and request the payment.1
