It's a no from me too...
Brexit has been in the headlines for a couple of years now - and with all the publicity of it all going wrong - any order I've placed in the last couple of months, I've absolutely double checked where it's coming from as there have been quite a few horror stories in the media in relation to import charges by the various courier companies. You'll have to chalk this one up to experience, and look closely as to where your items are coming from on your future orders.
Ah, is a shame, it’s a lot of money to me. I only turned 18 two months ago and it’s something I didn’t consider. Comes with experience I guess.
You need to look carefully at the company you bought from. Did it specifically say it was a UK company with UK stock?

As you already mentioned it said offices in UK and Germany then the implication is there that this might not be a UK company.

They used to just say "EU" company which would have been fine... but now we are not in the EU it is really important to establish the base of the company.

If it is a UK company that imports from Germany direct to you, then they really should state this due to us leaving the EU. In which case, you would be under UK distance selling laws and could refuse delivery and return for a full refund. (I think)...

Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Sounds like there are no consumer rights for the OP.

As the OP refers to buying silver then if this was silver bullion of any sort where the price may vary depending on the day and time of purchase, it would be exempt from the 14 day right of cancellation.

OP also mentions specifically purchasing to resell at a profit so wouldn't be a consumer.
