Supermarket transaction not listed in banking app

Hope this is the right section for my post. If not, please move.
I visited two supermarkets this morning but only one of these transactions are showing in my banking app?
The one listed is pending (as I would expect) but the second transaction isn’t listed or even pending. Any ideas why this is?
There were ample funds in the account to cover both transactions. Also the second transaction that seems to be missing went through fine at the supermarket, it wasn’t declined.
I’ve never had this before! Is it possible there is some delay processing the transaction by the supermarket? Maybe it’ll show up in the next day or two?

Yes, it's possible there is some delay processing the transaction by the supermarket, and every likelihood that it’ll show up in the next day or two, although not beyond the bounds of possibility that it could be delayed beyond that or even lost altogether (but don't build your hopes up!).1

Contactless? Possibly an offline transaction that didn't need to authorised and won't show up until it is processed.1

All contactless go for authorisation. So floor limit is £0.00
OP. They have 6 months.. So don't go mad and spend it just yet 🤣Life in the slow lane2 -
Patience my son patience.

Unless the transaction didn’t go through, (for example, if you used a self service checkout, tap thinking you have paid and left, but the card payment didn’t go through - seen this a few times when queuing), then I’d expect the missing card payment to come out the account in the next few days still.0

Thanks all for the responses.
No it wasn’t contactless as it was around £55 but it was via a self service checkout if that makes an difference?
The transaction definitely completed as I remember the chip & pin machine saying remove card and the checkout saying it had completed. I’ve checked my receipt and that looks like it went through.
Will keep an eye on my banking app over the next few days. I’m sure it’ll come out of my account sometime. Not much else I can do!“Hardware: The parts of a computer system that can be thrown out of the nearest window!”0 -
If you got a receipt then the payment went through, and I’d expect the payment to come out in the next few days.2

So don't go mad and spend it just yet 🤣I do however make a note of how much I’ve spent and mentally take that from my available balance myself.Perhaps it’s a quirk of my debit card or the way they process Santander cards.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

I've had Asda transactions not appear as pending or come off the available balance.
Instead they popped up a few days later as a fully debited transaction.2
