UPS major problems with deliveries

Can anyone help. I have two parcels with UPS coming in from Europe- one from Denmark and one from France. Both have proper paperwork, copy invoices etc. Both have been at Stanford Le Hope - UPS warehouse for the last 2 weeks and no one can tell me when I will receive them. I believe UPS have major problems but can't get anyone to tell me when they will be delivered. The offshore call centre just says Brexitproblems and I will have to wait but looking at all the issues being raised on the internet I think they have a major problem. I have emailed customer services, called them facebooked them facebook messenger, emailed the MD and no one can help. Any suggestions ?

Some couriers are having problems, for business I have sent internationally and received about 60 shipments with UPS this year and whilst some have had short delays (3-5 days), none have got stuck. However I am aware there is also a hefty backlog in Italy and Spain, but luckily I have not needed to ship anything there.

Are the goods in the shipment orders you have purchased from a company, or are they personal shipments (from friends)? If they are orders from a company then the legal contract is between that company and UPS and it is down to them to sort the delivery out. UPS usually regard a package as long on the 11th working day after the last physical scan, at that point they will start an investigation, which will in all likelihood involve them telling the shipper that the goods are lost.

They are both from professional companies. Once company is trying to help, the other one isnt. I have never had problems with UPS before but this is just appalling. No one can tell me anything. I will try with the shippers again but I do not expect any progress. I believe that UPS are having a major breakdown

Lots of couriers are having issues - but we're using UPS for inter-EU and UK-EU deliveries without much of an issue at the moment. 
Sounds more like you've been unlucky twice, or someone made a hash of the paperwork!

Just been told that there is a delay of 2-3 weeks at Stanford le Hope. My paperwork is correct. I don't think I have been unlucky twice I think you have been lucky ! DHL, Parcelforce and Fedex are all working fine for me
