Bank Of Scotland Reward Account is Changing

I've just had a message from BoS that my Reward account is changing to a Vantage account on the 6th May so instead of just getting £2 a month reward I will now get approx £3.25 a month in interest if I keep £5000 a month balance and pay 2 DDs.
Another £15 approx a year, things are looking up.
Vantage Account | Bank Accounts | Bank of Scotland.

I've got a reward account as well so I will deposit £5000 from my Marcus account into it on 6th May.
Now I won't have to bother transferring in an extra 18p a month to pay my 2 direct debits (they total £2.18)0 -
Personally I'd rather have kept the mthly reward as I can get more than 0.78%pa (?) on £5k elsewhere and still get the £24 pa from the BoS reward ac.
I assume BoS have considered the (Halifax) Reward Extra route and dismissed it in favour of going Vantage. Time will tell.0 -
I believe that Halifax is offering £5 per month if you keep £5000+ in their Reward Account, minimum pay-in/out etcOr, you can choose from other benefits of things like Cinema tickets (not that useful atm) etc0

The reward account dates back to the HBOS days when Halifax and Bank of Scotland sold similar accounts. Since the merger LBG have moved BOS to selling accounts in line with those sold by Lloyds Bank, I guess this makes some sense since Lloyds as a brand has no physical presence in Scotland any more.soulsaver said:Personally I'd rather have kept the mthly reward as I can get more than 0.78%pa (?) on £5k elsewhere and still get the £24 pa from the BoS reward ac.
