Finding new gas & leci suppliers
Options
Hi,
I was an Ebico customer until British gas took them over. My contract comes to end in July. The thing I loved about Ebico was there was no standing charge, I only payed for the gas I used, which in my case amount to between 70p & £1.40 every quarter.
I can't find any company that does not have a standing charge & as a consequence my gas bill is going to rise to over a £100 a year, I'm going to have to pay around £68 before I use a single unit of gas. I find this totally outrageous, paying for pipes etc that half been in the ground for decades.
My current leci contract ends in March. With the companies yet again putting the prices up in April I need to switch. I don't know whether to to a dual switch now or do single switches when my contracts end.
I have spent a fair bit of time looking on Martin's site & other comparison sites, the more I look the more it's making my head swim.
Should I go dual switch now or single switch as the contracts end?
TIA,
Andy.

Try the switch with which and the CAB sites.
Try duel fuel and then separate
Separate suppliers are usually cheaper.
I personally would switch now. Prices are going up.The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
July end date does that mean you will have to pay a sum for early cancellation .

As part of my contract with Ebico there was no exit fee. With my leci it's £50, I understand as it is now less than 50 days till the end of the contract I won't be charged for leaving.
I'll check out the suggestions on the other site.
Thank you.0 -
Dual fuel or single fuels .Fixed term one year or two years .Ignore estimated direct debits keys are unit cost and standing charges .0

If you don't wanna pay £100 SC for gas (isn't this high but sure) then see if you can get your gas supply disconnected so you don't have to pay at all.
