COVID Bank account with only driving license (homeless)

Has anyone got recent experience of attaining a bank account for somebody that is homeless? The person has a driving license and has access to a postal address but the banks I’ve looked at require two forms of ID.
In terms of actually applying for the bank account how do you show ID? Is it a case of downloading the app and uploading a photo of the id ? How long does it all take?

    They will find it easier to get a basic bank account to start with. 
    Are they working? P60 or benefits letter can be used as ID as well. DWP can send out a letter if they’ve not got anything.

    HSBC will work with some local homeless organisations in such cases. Perhaps contact the local office of Shelter or similar.

    Take of photo of the ID and upload in the app.

     My sister got an account with HSBC with random bits of DWP paperwork. Currently in a hostel but occasionally street homeless. The local homeless support organisation organised it for her.
