Today has been another NSD, I'd placed an online order for the grocery shopping last night and it was delivered this morning. We popped out for a walk this afternoon and it was lovely, we took some food as a snack and some hot drinks. The weather is so lovely, it's really brightened my mood. Tonight's tea is some batch cooking from the freezer so it's quick and easy and we will probably catch up on some TV and have a few beers. I have some family birthdays approaching and they don't live close so I think it will be either Amazon delivery to them, or cash in a card in the post. There are 3 in March and 2 in April. Busy time of the year for birthdays.
Nothing more off the debts as I am awaiting updated statements to be generated, all should be done by next weekend though and then once paid it'll be another limp to next pay day haha
Think that's all for the moment.

Been a very quiet weekend for me in terms of spending, not been anywhere to spend any money and I have been keeping myself busy with cooking and cleaning, sorting through stuff for charity that we don't need (ahead of a hopeful move) and I've been enjoying the glorious weather, it definitely feels like spring is on the way.
So I've got another 2 NSD's in the bag, rare ones too given it was the weekend! Today I need to pop out and pick up some birthday cards but they were planned in anyway.
Still no updated statements so can't chip away at any more debt at the moment. Should get one or 2 by the end of the week.

So I think I've just had a lightbulb moment
I realised I don't need to wait for my statement to pay, as long as I hold back enough to more than cover the minimum payment once the statement is generated, and that by paying the excess early there'll be less interest added to the statement when it's produced (I think, hope!)
Anyway, with this in mind, I have just paid the following:
£300 paid to CC4
£200 paid to CC2
£800 paid to CC3 (the one with the highest utilisation)
Feel better for that! *toddles off to update sig*

Aw go you, you are doing so well.
I was the same when I was paying off my debt the first time. I hated waiting a month to update my figures and make any extra payments.
Loved that feeling when I paid off a debt, I probably did it all wrong but I paid off as much to one as I could just to get rid of it then when that was gone switched all the payments to another debt.
It worked for me and made me feel better about it.2 -
I may end up switching to do it like that to be honest, especially as one is now firmly under the £4k mark, the lower it gets the brighter the light at the end of the tunnel!
I'm just ashamed that it's taken 3 attempts at this (so far - please help keep me on the wagon) before I'm in a position where if I keep going at the rate I am I can be DF in 11 months. Admittedly, I am on a much better salary than I was last time and let's face it with the pandemic my ability to SPEND has been curbed considerably!

Debt free in 11 months will be great.2

It's not an easy thing to do. It took me a few attempts to get it paid off but the main thing is you are doing it now.
