Thanks guys, I am still testing positive and feel really very ill, I'm exhausted 95% of the time but I feel like I am wasting my time when I'm resting. As soon as I try to do anything though I wipe myself out. No taste or smell either, which really sucks
On a positive note, I cashed out £8 from Prolific this morningso my PAD was £9 to CC7, it's always great to knock a chunk off the balance. Today is another NSD, No 6 for September and the weekend is likely to be the same as I won't be going anywhere. Hubby is away with friends so it's just me, the dog and Netflix.
I was really impacted by the passing of the Queen yesterday. I was been brought up as a Royalist and I'm not embarrassed to say my tears began when they reported that the family had been summoned to Balmoral. There have been some really awful things posted on social media though, and whether people support the Monarchy or not, it is not right to post some of the messages I have seen.
I see there has also been some (kind of) good news in terms of energy bills with the 2 year cap freeze. It's still going to be a struggle for many people across the country but at least it's not going to rise any further for a while. I'm also glad that something is being done about business tariffs too, because this is where our costs for goods and services still goes up. We have turned our hot tub to the lowest setting and that seems to be OK for now, I'm still trying the own brand version of things and if I like them, they stay.
I think I'm waffling, but my head is a bit of a train wreck so sorry about that.
Catch you all tomorrow

Sorry to hear you're so sick LMD, but wishing you a very speedy recovery! Whenever I feel wiped out over the littlest thing, I take that as my cue to keep resting even though that's boring and tiring.
I'm not a Royalist, but I have been very upset to see how disrespectful people can be. She was still a human being despite her position in the world and her family is grieving. After losing my dad a couple of years ago, it still hurts and I can't imagine having to do that with the world watching and still perform public duties.
The energy price cap has helped a lot with my anxieties about the prices increasing out of control, but it's still so so high and not actually affordable.
Hopefully things in the world will get better soon, and you'll be back on your feet and can smell and taste properly. xxDebt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

I’m a civil servant so you can imagine the mood at work today, very sombre. There were flowers left outside our building and the flag was half mast.I’m just like you and hate wasting time doing nothing but you’re not well and your body needs rest so take it easy.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I'm definitely tired (and bored) of the resting now, but I know I can't do much about it. If anything positive has come from this it's that I'm definitely having my booster vaccination!
Up early today (coughing, again) so I have made £1 PAD to CC7 and will be declaring this another NSD. I have no need to go out so therefore I won't as I don't want to pass on the virus. I know the rules say I don't have to isolate but I would feel so guilty.
I had a look at our Eon account last night, we are currently £500+ in credit but there's a charge (£200-ish) which still hasn't been applied from our bill covering the tariff change period. I assume this needs manual calculation but the change was 1st August so seems a long time... I'm just going to treat that credit as a buffer anyway as we head into winter, it will make me feel OK about all our Christmas lights. (not actually sure what they cost to run, but they make me happy)
I hope you all have a lovely Saturday, whatever your plans are.
