I called them..........NotraryNearMe doesnt do conveyancing and most cases went to XYZ Law but apparently all clients were contacted. Only so much i can find out as i'm not the actual client.
They actually officially ceased trading on the 17th Feb so would make sense a bit more. Got EA and Solicitor tracing this all over the place - but another bloody day lost

Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
EA messaged me last night to say they have the company and name of who is dealing with the case. Just need to keep the pressure on and not let all the solicitors use this as a reason to let this drift for another week....0

Quick questions for you experts:
If my seller is NOC - is that a relatively simple paperwork process? and also would they have to have paid their previous solicitor any money upfront (like you do with searches etc)?0 -

He probably did, but I didn't, so I am glad that's been clarified!
@Cuddlybearman, a relatively simple paperwork process has very little bearing on whether or not there's a chain. The paperwork is based on information regarding the title and transferring that title from one person to the next and for the solicitor to act on behalf of their client in their best interests. Having a chain merely multiplies all that by the number of transactions being done alongside your one.3 -
