It doesn't sound like it would even fall under an insured risk in the first place, never mind needing to be excluded.

Yes we are getting other quotes. We have 2 quotes already with similar figures. 
It's a 6sqm 4 piece bathroom. We have been advised everything will be stripped off and done again. As new home owners, lesson learnt we will look thoroughly on our next buy. Trust me..... the bathroom was stunning and we fell into the trap.

As you've owned the property for 6 months without issues. The vendor was most likely unaware. Though was the property an owner occupier refurbishment?
