Has anyone actually managed to get their storages heaters upgraded for free via the government eco scheme. I always end up with some company from outside my area that wants to sell me or replace my loft and or wall insulation.

Who is your energy supplier?
Usually the best solution is your E supplier. For obvious reasons.
Eon can be good, as you can go to any supplier in the government scheme.
Assume you are electric only.0 -
Ps. Be careful, with companies advertising, "best since sliced bread" for free, tomorrow.
As the E companies pay for the scheme, go direct.1 -
Yes electric only thanks,do you mean go direct to the energy supplier, mine is bulb0

Ok. Assume you do not have a gas supply.
Bulb appear to be part of the ECO scheme. Check the Bulb web site ECO links.
Check eligibility and latest criteria for what is available.
Eg., Used to be full GCH, now appears to be boiler replacement only.
Changes tend to take place April time.
Ring or email Bulb. You'll have to do some leg work.
Then Eon, OFGEM etc.
Good luck.
