Waterproof garage walls?

  • 'Correx' is a hollow polycarb sheet, like the stuff cheap connie roofs are made from?

How will this stop the water coming through? How will it stop that corner being damp and musty? How will it stop mould from growing?

It won't. Why not go for the much cheaper option of a pair of very dark sunglasses so's you can no longer see the damp?

I used the thin 3mm Correx sheets.  It won't stop the water coming in through the walls.
My intention was to keep the water away from the things stored in the garage.  So far, it's worked.  Brick and concrete don't really go mouldy.  But the stuff I'm storing in the garage does.
Yes, it's a bodge.  Any alternative to do it properly would have cost a lot more.  The best solution would be to knock down the shoddily built garage and replace it entirely.  Perhaps I will one day.

    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
  • Is the garage wall in question built right on the boundary with the neignbour's property?

I am of the same mind as ectophile,  it is just a quick fix and most importantly cheap!
Yes, it is right on the boundary and there is no chance of doing anything to the outside of the wall.
