Getting refunds for Travelodge Saver Rooms

Has anyone had any joy getting refunds after cancelling Travelodge Saver Rooms due to COVID-19?
We initially booked in February 2020 to go in March 2020, then moved it to September 2020 then moved it again to March 2021. Now we don't want to go at all but their Ts&Cs say "Not Refundable" - we don't want to move it to another date as we'd either have to pay more, or, if the cost is less, won't get back the difference we've already paid. The cost is around £50 so we couldn't use Section 75.

can you not find a date in the future that is the same price so you don't pay more?MKPhil said:Now we don't want to go at all but their Ts&Cs say "Not Refundable" - we don't want to move it to another date as we'd either have to pay more, or, if the cost is less, won't get back the difference we've already paid.
refund should be offered if hotel is closed however if open, saver rates are non-refundable

Unfortunately by choosing not to travel you're liable for your own loss - if they’re offering alternative dates and you don’t want to go that’s not their decision.I’m sure you can find another break where the cost is very similar.

If you booked non-refundable that is exactly what it is and you are only entitled to a refund if the hotel was closed.Travelodge are doing more than they needed to by offering you the option of moving dates.Travelodge offers other more expensive refundable rates if that is what you want.0
