esure home insurance - cancelled to get a cheaper quote - Will I keep free legal / emergency cover?

Hello,
I have been with esure for a few years for my home and contents insurance.
They recently sent me a renewal with a £50 increase and so I did a scrape and got a new quote with esure for £40 less than I pay now, so £90 less in all.
I had a chat with them and they could not match it so I cancelled my contract. I have now rejoined and again got the free legal and emergency cover that customers get in the first year.
Now I am wondering if they will honour this as I am not really a new customer, but an old customer on a new contract.
Does anybody know where I stand?
Thank you.

What do the T&Cs say?
Most promotions don't prohibit existing customers lapsing a policy and then buying again as a new customer outside of things like cashback which are done after the matter and gives Marketing time to filter out returning customers.0
