Having had an Oak Furnitureland delivery delayed twice by the supplier (due to ports issues apparently) which was originally due in December, we finally got a date a few weeks ago but LITERALLY the morning before delivery we had a positive Covid diagnosis in the house so I did the right thing & postponed it.
Now we've got over Covid I'm trying to get a new delivery date scheduled & I'm being told that 24th JUNE is currently the earliest date! This is ridiculous - surely they don't want my furniture (sofas, book cases, sideboards) clogging up their warehouse for months? What if they've "given" it to someone else? Surely that can't have happened either as everyone will have their own (typically long) delivery timescale - surely no-one is going to be given MY furniture?
Any advice of what my rights might be? This was ordered & paid for in September 2020!
Thanks in advance
Paul.

I expect you have the right to cancel your order and buy from somebody else. Or you can wait.

I got cut off from them during my call this morning but have just now had an updated text with a delivery this week so they managed to sort it in the end thankfully!
  • It sounds like you're original cancellation has put you to the back of the queue.  As above, you can cancel or wait.  Check your paperwork to see if you'd incur any costs from cancellation.
