The online competition registration is open from Wednesday 24th February, 2021 at 00:01 and registration closes at Thursday 4th March, 2021 at 12:00pm.

The on air competition is open from Monday 1st March, 2021 at 16:00 and closes at Friday 5th March. 2021 at 19:00.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Absolute Radio + William Hill” (On-Air Competition).

These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN
Pre-Registration

- Anyone interested in taking part in this competition must register their interest on the online competition page which includes agreeing to these terms and conditions. Refer to Section 2 for entry routes.
- Registering to take part in this competition does not provide any guarantee that you will come on-air or win a prize.

Shortlisting and being invited to play the on-air game

- The Absolute Radio production team will pick a selection of shortlisted entrants from the pre-registered entries, drawn by random electronic draw.

- The Absolute Radio production team will contact the shortlisted entrants to check their availability to play the on-air game, with a time and date in which the game will take place. The entrants will be requested to reply by a certain time to register their interest and confirm their availability for the next phase. The registering participant will at this stage need to provide contact details for their chosen friend who will participate in the game with them. The registering participant must have permission from their chosen friend to pass on contact information. This friend must also meet all terms and condition requirements.

- Being contacted does not guarantee an entrant will come on-air or continue to the next phase of the competition.

- Once shortlisted entrants have been contacted, a finalist will be selected from those who have replied to confirm they are available to take part, and the finalist will be selected via random electronic draw. If an entrant is successfully chosen and selected to play the game, they must be contactable on the phone number provided for both the entrant and their chosen friend and, on the time and date agreed with the Absolute Radio production team.

- The Absolute Radio production team reserve the right to choose another contestant from the shortlist if they are unable to contact the chosen registrant or their chosen friend at the time the game recording is taking place.

The competition

The competition will air during Bush and Richie’s (“the presenters”) Hometime Show on Absolute Radio between 16:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday.

- The contestant & their chosen friend will join Bush and Richie on the radio to play the on-air game. This will be pre-recorded and played out on-air ‘as live’ between 16:00 to 19:00 Mon to Fri during the on-air competition period (see ‘Dates’ section).

- The recording of this will take place at the time the Absolute Radio production team stated in the ‘shortlisting and being invited on air’ section.

How to win

- The contestant & their chosen friend who have been selected to play the on-air game will have thirty (30) seconds to answer as many questions as possible correctly. The maximum number of questions asked will be five (5). Each correct answer will be worth a sum of £400. The total prize to be won in a single game is £2,000. This prize fund is to be split equally between the contestant and their chosen friend.

2.ENTRY PLATFORMS AND COSTS

A) Registration is restricted to one per person.
The only way to be included in this competition is to register online at https://planetradio.co.uk/absolute-radio/competitions/.
C) Online registration is free of charge.

3. DATES Start Date and End Date.

Pre-registration will be open from Midnight on 19/02/21 (pre-registration start date) to 10.30am on 04/03/21 (pre-registration end date)

There will be 1 x competition round broadcast, every day from 01/03/21 (on-air start date) to 05/03/21 (on-air end date) in Bush and Richie’s Hometime Show between 16:00 – 19:00 Mon to Fri.

Entries received before the pre-registration Start Date or after the pre-registration End Date will be invalid.

Please note Absolute Radio reserves the right to remove the competition for any event such as a public holiday.

Winner Announcement. The name of the winner(s) will be announced on on-air after each competition round.

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS • Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.
• Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter.
• If you have won a Bauer competition in the past 6 months to the value of £500 or more, you or any person at the winning address will NOT be eligible to win the competition.

 

5. THE PRIZE On-air Prizes

Monday to Friday from 01/03/21 – 05/03/21
16:00-19:00

There will be 2 x prize winners per day – consisting of the initial registrant and their chosen friend. (10 winners in total across the week).

The winners can win a maximum of £2,000 which will be split equally between the initial registrant and their chosen friend.

Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.

OTHER CONDITIONS

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry or text STOP if entering via SMS. If you have, your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. For more details, see: http://www.bauerdatapromise.co.uk/.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

3. MISCELLANEOUS.
a) Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.
b) One entry per person.
c) If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.
d) The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.
e) We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
f) You are responsible for all costs of entry.
g) You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.
h) Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.
i) As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition.

We may end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
