Morning all
Dry here but cold I have the heating on for a while to warn the place up. DD is home but working so we will need to get the dogs out for a run during her lunch break.
I went out on my bike yesterday
I have been trying to walk daily for exercise but yesterday OH and DD took the dogs for a long walk and I cant go that far yet as each step rubs my scars so I thought I would try my bike, it went well I managed about four miles, my chest hurt almost straight away but I carried on as I felt it was doing some good, I went up to a local village and sat by the pond for a while then came back, I was frozen solid by the time I got back so got straight in a hot bath which was bliss. I really enjoyed the ride though so will do it again and slowly build up.
Dinner tonight is the left over roast from yesterday so nice and easy, mum came for her dinner last night and really enjoyed it.
Got to book my car in for its MOT today and its due a service but im womdering if its worth it as it has only been used about 10 times in the last year !!
Have good days all and stay safe xxx12 -
Dumpling, glad to hear you are home - good luck with the weight loss.
I've just written a post and then erased it because it was so banal so I'll love you and leave you until I have something of interest to post. It's Laura's birthday tomorrow - 38, how can I have a daughter of 38 when I'm only 29 myself.13 -
Snoozer.. you haven't been doing an Iolanthe, have you?11

After a wet and dismal day yesterday it is lovely here today, blue skies, lots of sunshine and no cold wind - love it.
OH Ddog and I have been a walk through town and down to the river at the far end from us, coffee and a shared scone with HM lemon curd stood watching the people, dogs and wildlife. So wonderful to see the 5 cygnets from last year, now all grown up and almost out of their teenage feathers. There was a very noisy splashdown of all 5 followed by a vigorous bath time, not witnessed this before and it was delightful. The male Mallards have wicked glints in their eyes and their intendeds are being pursued already.
Just letting our lunches go down and then a stint of clearing up in the garden - green bin day tomorrow.
Thanks nmlc for the new thread, Dumpling I hope that you are getting some rest and sleep and recuperating. Thinking of Marie, Ruby and all that are going through difficult times, eagerly awaiting the pronouncements from Downing Street later, lots of leaks I gather, but not checked anything out yet.
Enjoy what is left of the day.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)11
