Extended delivery purchase

Appreciate some advise.
The plan is to purchase a garden building (£5k+) from internet seller. The building will be delivered and erected directly from the manufacturer not seller. This has a likely 14 week delivery. Direct purchase from manufacturer not possible and full payment required by seller.
Appreciate my contract is with seller, but should anything happen with either seller or manufacturer to prevent supply, given extended timescales, am I covered by credit card for recharge or section 75.
Many thanks.

Chargeback does goes back against the retailer you bought from. You have 120 days from date of purchase, but for a purchase like yours. It is 120 days from date of delivery. Subject to a max of 540 days from date of debit on statement.
    S75 could be interesting.
    Who is the retailer?

Many thanks for response, retailer Keen Gardener. Manufacturer Forestgarden.
Both reputable companies but just in case!
Normally I would expect to pay a deposit then final payment just prior to delivery, hence concern.

S75 should be ok as well - assuming you are paying the retailer directly (e.g. not using paypal etc).

Presumably, your contract will be with the retailer and you will be paying the retailer directly, and as far as the contract is concerned, the retailer is the supplier - so there's no break in the chain.

It would be different if your contract was with the manufacturer, but you paid the retailer - but that's unlikely to be the case.
