Whilst changing my bed I stubbed my toe on something underneath it - a bag containing a very old car rug which DM bought for her first car in 1966. It's been well use and then repaired! It's almost a sin to get rid of it but CS's won't want it even in it's lovingly repaired state. The quality is excellent, Derryvale of Ireland, seems to no longer exist. This house is almost a treasure trove, everyday something pops up to astound me.

Morning, hugs if you need one, Dumpling good to know you are home, do not try to do too much, slowly, slowly.....Taff, and anyone else who was wondering, DB is dearly beloved, in other words my husband.
Grey morning, did not have a good start DB knocked his coffee all over the duvet, its now in the washer........short lie in!! it was non existant!! He is now out in the garden, for his 30 minutes. I will be disappearing into my sewing room to sew the last two rows of the quilt together before joining the whole lot up.
When DB dropped his Ipad 18 months ago, he took over my lenovo tablet, I bought a new one. The oldest Lenovo is now on its way out, so our computer techie advised me to invest in a Samsung, so my wedding anniversary present is a Samsung. I spent all day yesterday, resetting the newer lenovo for DB to use. He uses it to read via Borrow Box, and play games, so not too much to do. I then had to set about the Samsung, very different to what I was used to, newer operating system and a different way of working which taxed my non technical brain somewhat.
Supper today is roast chicken with veg and possibly sponge pudding.9 -
Morning All
Late this morning I was up early as my asthma was not great took inhalers and went back to bed for a bit
DH at work today and I really want to do some jobs around the house
Like others I have found this last lockdown very difficult I can work on work days very efficiently but have only physically left the house for my Jab 3 weeks ago otherwise I just dont feel like going out even for exercise ( I am shielding) Again as a few have said on here the pounds have gone on and I get very stiff just doing odd things around the house
But still little moments of joy At the front of our house is a path with grass mound in the middle
Last night saw two young ones (brother and sister) walking round it and each time they passed we waved at each other
Dinner today will be roast chicken but must have yorkie puds for DH funny how when we were younger it was only with roast beef
Want to try and finish sewing my knitting projects together today or tomorrow (have a day off well away from the laptop)
Dumpling so pleased you are home with the love of your family
To everyone else sad or poorlie or looking after others who are sending big hugs

Morning all,I haven't posted over the last few days as I managed to jar my back/shoulder during a post covid coughing phase and it's been very uncomfortable, but thankfully it seems much better today & I've not needed any painkillers so far.Dumpling, I am so glad to hear you're back home.Hope Sparkle is back to her old self soon TA. Ly la has started with runny eyes last week, it happens every year and makes her face sticky so she needs it washing :/otherwise she scratches so hard she makes it sore. I dont know what she is allergic to so early in the year
I've a topside joint from the butchers for our Sunday lunch,Yorkshires ? definitely! DH will do the roasties.I've cooked some Bramleys to make a crumble for afters too. I need to squeeze a portion of Lancashire hot pot into the freezer somewhere, I thought DS2 might have it last night- he called after dropping DGS back with Mummy but he declined!Have a good day all & stay safe xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Thank you for stopping my brain hurting! Good luck with the quilt...I'm alright at sewing, but that kind of precision sewing is beyond me.Gers,I'd probably keep the blanket for my on car. Rosy, that doesn't sound nice at all. The post covid effects seem to be a bit more long lasting.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9

Afternoon

Very late for me but its my favourite day of the week so lots of allowed chill time. Strange really every day is the same of course but Ive always loved a Sunday and it seems to have stuck. Course in the "old days" it would be wash my hair book trains and make packed lunches ...those were the days
Asda delivered my supplies for the week so I won't starve
I'll grab some turkey slices from the freezer and have with the baby potatoes sprouts and cabbage.
Just watched the final of Its a Sin....floods of tears again it really was moving. Think I need something lighter now
Have a good day all10 -
