Help with an unfair late payment

The complaint went through over the phone after I asked to escalate it. The initial lady I spoke with said that they are at fault (due to their policies) about not notifying me, but would not take any responsibility.xlnc99 said:fingers crossed. Did you write an e-mail or letter to halifax?0 -
Worth mentioning as well, they wouldn’t give me an email or phone number for anyone in complaints.0

Big mistake doing it on the phone. Huge error!
Basically you are relying no what the person on the other end has written down and their own words. OFF to a bad start.
I suggest you scrap that complaint and start again today. Send an e-mail tonight writing exactly what happened, with evidence, time stamps of phone calls, what everyone said to you etc. Make sure its in detail!!! Express the urgency in regards to your mortgage too.
You really made a school boy error doing this on the phone2 -
Thanks for this, appreciate it.xlnc99 said:Big mistake doing it on the phone. Huge error!

You really made a school boy error doing this on the phoneI’ll draft an email tonight in relation to the complaint. To be fair I’ve never had to deal with this sort of thing before so I was probably very ignorant!0 -

Sorry - another quick question. In this case would the “late payment” show up on my account under September on my credit score? Because I’ve just noticed it’s showing as missed in October?0

There is little point now you've escalated it to a complaint over the phone. If anything it might delay their response.absportland said:

If you can get something in writing asap that they are removing it, its possible the broker could have that forwarded to the underwriting team at Santander who will consider it.Peter
