We have a dark green metallic paint Ford Focus.

I know Halfords stock certain respray paints but not ours and also do a mixing service where you need the batch number. I managed to get a batch number from my old car not a Ford, but I have no idea what batch number our car is. How can you find out? and can do Halfords sell metallic green paint in there mixing service. It used to be £10 something for a can or £10 for a plastic bottle with a brush in.

go to ford with your registration number or serial number and they should be able to tell you the paint code and may even be able to supply you with some.

Your paint code should be displayed on the plate fixed to the bonnet landing panel.

It can be difficult to tell. Unfortunately everyone's monitor displays colours differenty, and add that to the fact that a digital camera doesn't always best represent the actual colour, it may be difficult to tell with any certainty. I think the only way to match colours accurately is to use some sort of special really expensive colour gun reader type thing. I'm not sure if anywhere can mix colours like that rather than to a code as that would help me.

Edit: looks like Harveybobbles got that covered before me :D

I doubt it will be the case with your car, but on mine paint made specially matched does not match the paint on the car anymore due to fading.

As yours is metallic you may also need to get some lacquer to put over the top. Surface preparation and rust treating is more important than spraying the paint on itself, and will save you doing the job again later.
  • Pacific Green it will be.
Ring any Ford garage parts depot and give your reg number.
